GritTimer Belt Sander Timer

GritTimer is a series of high precision, low cost, timers created especially for Power Tool Drag Racing. GritTimer includes complete and individual AC power control for both lanes as well as a Starting Tree. Accurate timing measurement to 0.0000 seconds is accomplished using custom designed, high speed pulsed, high repeatability infrared optical sensors. (Commercial, industrial 'bottle counters' are NOT used simply because they do not provide accurate, repeatable, precise timing.) The Start Tree shows Red for 3.0000 seconds, then three Yellows for 0.5000 seconds each, then Green for the duration of the heat. 'Red lighting' or crossing the finish line cause the Tree for that lane AND the Racer to turn off. A Red button on the GritTimer control panel is pressed by the Race Director to start the Tree sequence and enable the driver power controller. In addition, the Red button must be held during the heat. If it is released power to both Racers is removed as a safety precaution. Prior to racing, each driver may press and hold the 'Race' and 'Test' buttons on their individual driver controller to test the power to their Racer.
